About Me

Hi, I’m Melissa.

I believe that authentic human connection through sharing our unique experiences is essential — particularly in a world that increasingly values, and relies on, Artificial Intelligence.

In my corporate life I’ve been fortunate to focus on Human Resources communication. I’ve written for executives, created communication strategies for new HR initiatives, and had the privilege of helping colleagues build connections by shaping and sharing their personal stories on internal platforms.

In my creative work I’m passionate about exploring the world around me, and sharing those experiences authentically. Whether it’s snorkelling the frigid waters around my home on Vancouver Island or being battered by Iceland’s driving winds on a solo road trip I hope to capture the beauty and growth that comes with leaning out of our comfort zones.

I love learning about, and sharing, the culture and nature that are the living heartbeat of the  places I visit. I thrive on connecting with the individuals who call these places home, and those who, like me, are there to learn and connect.

I live on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən, and Xʷsepsəm, and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples in Greater Victoria, British Columbia.

Let’s explore the world together.
